When McCain launched their frozen slap chips
we wanted to celebrate the local joints, the spaza shops and cafes by inviting consumers to share with us where the best slap chips can be found in their neighbourhoods.

The Slap chips route would be mapped out by all the names of slap chips merchants brought forward by consumers, and in the end one cafe or shop would be crowned as the number one slap chips joint in South Africa. They would receive a makeover for their shop sponsored McCain. Shoppers were to be kept engaged through in-store branding and a chance to win spot prizes with each pack of McCain slap chips purchased.
